The only thing you really lose is the ability to move slowly while raising or lowering the top but any convertible I owned prior to the Boxster required that anyway.
Yes, the targa is like an 11.2@123/124 mph car. Quite fast! They also hold value like few others. I know it’s not the sharpest 911, but man, it is such a great looking throwback car. I like that you kind of get coupe and convertible in one.
