Live in Raleigh & will drive my BMW cars anytime 24/7 - 365 that there is no snow on the ground.
My first summer tired BMW was a 2004 330 Ci ZHP convertible. Since then have had/have 2011,2013,2014,2018,2020,2022.
All have had summer tires & some have lived outdoors. I drive safely but with a sporting edge. Some cars have run occasional trackdays & AutoX.
Have had no weather related issues due to temperature with any tire over the entire time span. If snow or ice is present or predicted I use a 4X4 truck or SUV with the appropriate tires.
Only tire I will not take out under 40*F is the Nitto NT01's on the Cobra. At 40*F you need to drive like a normal tire on puddled rain or light snow.
They are 100 treadware compared to the 4S at 300 or for those on Conte's 340
