not a Type R but I did have a JDM conversion fully built LS turbo Integra back in the days. the car got hit on Christmas Eve by an off duty officer who ran a stop sign. the damage was the rear quarter panel and the wheel was bent in. my shop quoted me right around $3k to fix it but because the housing industry crashed I ended up just taking a check for a total loss to make house payments instead
