Yeah I got one of their 36v a few months ago to go along with all of my other Makita crap and was completely blown away. It is more powerful and lighter (even with 2 5.0Ah batteries) than my older corded Makita saw. So I sold the corded one and have not looked back!

The one I got (linked above) also has a dust port attachment that comes with it that I didn't see included in any of the other packages for some reason, did you get one or are the descriptions accurate?
I've used a Skill Mag77 for years so I'm just a little more used to that format of having my hand back behind the saw instead of on top. Like you said, specs are virtually identical so I think it just comes down to personal format preference. I have an indoor workshop for woodworking with a dust collection system so I'm not too concerned with having a dust port on the circular saw given that I only ever use it outdoors. Inside I'd use the table saw or miter saw.
