Surprisingly the overall look is decently designed. Its not ugly, nor vanilla, just decently penned down, at least the exterior.
At least Acura is starting to put out newer technology into their front wheel drive cars. 8 speed dual clutch with an automatic converter and the 9 speed ZF source auto in the TLX. The hybrid powertrain in the RLX.
I wonder how much can you take and push the front wheel drive platforms to perform compared to a similar rear wheel drive car. Its just inherently imbalance towards the front.
It is such a shame that the RLX hybrid powertrain is paired to such a vanilla exterior. I'm not going to argue Acura/Honda's stubbornness not to invest in a front rear wheel drive platform. Their Japanese counterparts have long invested in it, Lexus and Infiniti.
The only thing that's is exciting is the NSX.
