Also in Texas. I've had summer tires (Usually MPSSs) on the previous M240, M335, and several miatas and never had a problem. Yes, the grip sucks, but in mid-30 degree weather I just take it easy until the tires have a chance to warm up.

I don't think there's much difference in winter lows between Dallas and San Antonio most years, with a few notable exceptions. When we had the several days continuous near 0F a couple of years ago, I just didn't go outside :-)
