Don’t mean to hijack the thread, I agree you don’t need 617 hp. I had 3 X5s, all V8s. My first X6 was the 2010 E71 50i. It was a beast. I loved it. For whatever reason, when my lease was up, I ordered 2013 E71 X6M. It was crazy high strung, a lot of fun. The only difference between the M and the 50 was the power. Anyway, when lease was up I ordered a 2016 F86 X6 50. I hated it. It seems BMW decided to water down the non M models. The steering was crazy loose, suspension was floatly, handling sucked compared to what I was was used to in my previous 5 BMWs. I lasted 3 months. I found a 2016 M on a lot and switched out. The difference was night and day. Since then, it’s been Ms.

So, I don’t need 617 hp, but it’s the only way for me to have the BMW experience I’ve become accustomed to. I am seriously considering buying my 2022 X6M at lease end because of the direction they (and all car manufacturers) are going with the screen nonsense, but that’s another thread which I have chosen not to post in. Lol.

Hijack over.

EDIT - the fuel consumption has actually improved. I used to get 13 mpg on my previous BMWs, even the non Ms. I’m getting about 15mpg on my mixed hwy/streets drives. I call them smiles per gallon.
