Until the E90, nearly all BMW's had mechanical LSD's. But back then M's still had individual throttle bodies, some had dry sumps and you could certainly still tell an M from a regular car. |
Yea, the 1990s before they offered DSC, an LSD was throw in with their then [COLOR="Blue"]M-Tec[/COLOR] package..
Now, I think they can't get away with the current brake-based ediff now that their 40i line is pushing 385hp, so now a mechanical LSD is required to harness that much power to the ground..
