They really are...and I've had a major crash in one before unfortunately. I love Quarq power meters, they're durable and not fussy at all, but there are quite a few reliable options now days. To be honest, I forget which BB30 adapter I used on this bike, I think it's a basic BB30 SRAM adapter since it's a Quarq DFour, it basically has SRAM red crank arms...despite it being a Shimano geared Power Meter
