I don't understand why ppl buy Wranglers and keep complaining about bad handling on pavement. This thing was born to shine in the wild and very few others can come close to it. There are plenty of SUVs and trucks with IFS and much better road manners (but much less capable off-road) to choose from.

But I do agree with you that V8 in Wrangler is just plain stupid!
Diesel though sounds really appealing to me...

I agree. Mine is just used for trail fun, beach fun, snow and short trips to the grocery store - if it gets carted, or dinged or smashed, it just adds character

I would never want this as a daily driver, even when it was stock, it was not a very good ride. It's much more reliable than my old Land Rover that it's taken over duties for though.
