Yes..its hard to get a really objective number on the true cost. Every source seems to be displaced to the right or left. Even the CATO reports are noticeably silent on the things you mentioned. And your list is not complete (nor was it intended to be)

Those of us that pride ourselves with objectivity I believe would agree with you. Those that have an agenda won't.
