Good design is short lived in the face of an uninspiring drive. This car needs to have the elements of fun that made the z car famous. The z3 was pretty horrible from a dynamics point of view (thing had a damn sort of e30 rear end ... ) but the fun factor was up there big time.

Bmw has lost this on their mainstream cars and the e89 so it's critical to get it back with this car. My worry is that this car will have all the tech in the world and get amazing track times but not be very visceral/fun.

Basicly a Japanese car with a bmw badge. What's the point. Toyota wins in this scenario. Will reserve judgement till the car comes but not hopeful as bmw has been designing and marketing cars to a demographic that thinks road feel = broken car.
