I was Rain X fanboi. I works pretty good, but somewhat smeary, and I think it makes wipers rot faster.

I've even used the Turtle Ice detailer spray, and that works.

My s28i glass seems to work good in rain, but chips easy.

I found some 30 year old Amway glass and metal cleaner powder that really cleans up the water spots so you start with really clean glass. I think there is curusite powder or whatever sold, but I found on net Bar Keepers Friend or Bon Ami might work.
