Well both

Here's what I've heard:

"The guy that owns ADV.1 used to be in a partnership with the current owner of 360forged. 360forged got into some serious legal trouble a few years back. They were marketing that they made custom wheels but in reality, they were taking the orders and basically "outsourcing" them to another company that actually made the wheels. Then they were slapping huge premiums on the wheels because they were "custom." Also, the guy that owns ADV.1 was taking orders while he worked at 360forged and never fulfilling them. After he had stoled thousands and thousands of dollars, he sold his share of 360forged to the current owner.

He then went on to start the popular wheel company ADV.1 with the money he stoled. He really struggled to grow the company in the beginning. Not sure how much you guys kept up on the forums but ADV.1s were near impossible to get. There were only a few designs to choose from and the wait time to get a set was ridiculous. 2011 was his year that he really shined. ADV.1 really blew up in the industry.

The funny thing is, most of the major forums will not allow ADV.1 to be a vendor because of the past history and their ethics. 6speed removed everything from their boards that had to do with ADV.1."
