I'm thinking of adding a hardwired bulkhead mounted power socket somewhere around the dash area so that I can plug in a radar detector but avoid having the dangly lead down to the console power socket. I can then easily swap the unit between my vehicles. I've had a look online for a suitable part but nothing suitable as yet. Has anyone done this or can suggest a suitable part?
