Paul Walker owned that car at one time too. I remember hearing they were on cold tires traveling about 95 mph and hit an uneven spot in the pavement rounding a curve that unsettled the car, lost control and hit a pole and burst into flames. I believe their was a lawsuit against Porsche and the driver but don't remember what came of it.

Weren't they riding on the original tires which were well past replacement date?
And I believe Porsche has had numerous updates on the tires from the OE tire supplier for Carrera GT's but I could be wrong.
