The same thing applies to us dumb Americans when learning metric temperatures. I came up with the rule of fives:
15C - 25C = comfortable
5C - 15C = sweater weather
-5C - 5C = coat weather
-15C - -5C = winter/hockey weather
-15C or lower = freaking cold
25C - 35C = warm
35C or greater = freaking hot!
Keep me in 15C weather year-round and I'll be happy....
