My basic point: If the engine's efficient enough and designed well, cylinder count has no bearing on overall performance in this day and age. In fact, engines with too many cylinders can be a
disadvantage for a variety of reasons, from excess weight and packaging issues to platform imbalance. Motorcycles merely demonstrate this via magnification of the effects.
