Bean Counters run shit. That’s why it took up until the C7 for the corvette to have a decent interior, yet the Corvette team didn’t have enough money to develop a better spoiler. And the Z06 and Gran Sport have complaints about bent rims. And it’s the reason why the Thunderbird went from a two seater to 2+2, and got bigger and fatter.
