B46 to B48 mods?
It's kind of a dumb and crazy idea because I'm sure it's easier to just tune and get better numbers but I was going through the technical information and came. Across this info showing that the B48 has 50 more HP and 40 more lb-ft of torque.
The technical doc did state the B48TU has a different turbo than the B46TU but it didn't say the DME was different. Crankshaft was slightly different as was compression ratio. I'm just brainstorming here about swapping turbos and maybe determining what kind of boost that motor is running. The document also stated that the B48TU motor is used in the X2 M35i. |

Z4 30i in Europe is got the B48B20B engine. 255 hp.
