Porsche Catastrophe!

Glad to see that no one on board got hurt. I can empathize with those waiting on their cars. I had dreams about something happening to the ship with mine on it when I was waiting for it. |

My guess is that this could lead to even tighter restrictions on shipping electric vehicle batteries. For example, batteries will not be shipped in vehicles any more, but separately.
Batteries can be dangerous. Rob |

One story I saw said that there are many EVs onboard. It seems that once an EV starts burning it is VERY hard to put out. AND they tend to reignite after the fire is put out, so they are mostly just letting it burn.

Such a terrible loss. Even more so because of shortages.

Loss is only to the insurance companies. FYI...cargo is insured by the pound not dollar amount.

I’m not talking about financial loss….
Sucks to lose so many. Beautiful cars and the equipment and materials that went into them. |

The train must be making a lot of stop! Either that, or the train was looted by those people in California who were stealing thing off of trains.

And now all those lithium batteries are in the ocean…I’ll hold my breath waiting for the news stories on the environmental impact of lithium batteries polluting the ocean and the suggestion to ban electric vehicles.
