Someone beat me to it, the CLS is a 4 dr Coupe, not a Sedan.
Personally, I love the CLS look. Honestly, seems kind of slow for 700+ HP. We used to hit 190ish on Superbikes in much less distance than it took them, and a car has superior high speed aerodynamics. |

The original "coupe" classification involves the shape of the roofline.
In the modern era, the coupe-style roofline is properly implemented in cars accommodating only two doors. That is how "coupe" is now formally synonymous with "two doors". However, in the original definition it is possible for there to be 2 door sedans and 4 door coupes. Mercedes is doing it's part to bring retro full circle. |
