Um... wtf does this mean for us? Should I be wavering in my decision to get a droid?

for your purposes it really means absolutely nothing. Largely at this point in the Flash 'life' this is a moot point.

Don't let Flash make a decision regardless, it's already on its way out with HTML 5

sure. just because flash isn't going to be on a phone doesn't mean you're gonna miss anything. that was the case years ago, but today, the paradigm shift is toward html5. all browsers can easily read it without the need for third-party plugins or software. i think within the next 2 years, flash will have all but disappeared anyway.

the only thing you are going to miss is most restaurant websites use flash, that industry as whole seems to like flash so you will not be able to view most those websites on a smart phone, as the phone software moves forward they no longer support flash. If flash is that important to you, you better get a phone now and never let it go.

exactly. With apple's complete lack of Flash support is driving a massive Flash to HTML 5 converter need. Which is in the works.

seriously don't worry about it. you'll stil have the old support in a pinch, but flash will be dead..... no doubt there
