2022 new order opinion

Getting ready to order m40i missano blue.

2 questions, order all leather, or leather with alcantara seat with blue stitch, alcantara is just on the head rest area.

wear differences? the blue stitch looks good, about $200 less

18 wheels vs the 19 wheel, performance, ride quality

I know the upgrade is $600

Thank you for your help

The type of seats are a matter of personal preference.

If you are getting the M40i I highly recommend the 19 inch Michelin Pilot Super Sports.

I went for the 18 inch also with Michelin Pilot Super Sports. Mainly for the ride and to help protect the wheels on bad roads.

Guess they are also a matter of personal preference.

Also agree. I think they fill the wheel well better and provide a more aggressive look. I can’t comment on the ride as I haven’t driven on 18” wheels so I have no comparison.

The Alcantara is on the upper part of the seats and the door cards. See some pics here.

On my 22 order, still waiting allocation, I ended up switching to the 19" wheels. Two reasons for me. One is I ultimately think I like the look better. Secondly, I did a search on TireRack and found a lot more options for replacement in the 19" size than the 18. After the factory tires wear out, my plan is to go with the Michelin Pilot Sport All Season, as I won't need ultimate grip for my intended use.

I got the Alcantara/ Leather with Blue stitching and it really pops. The feel is like suede and it elevates the interior appearance in my opinion. It also has a nice feel. You can't go wrong either way though.

on the wheels, go 19-in. there will be more options over the long term.

Don't forget to order the Shadowline package and really consider getting the all black wheels, they are accented by the black top. They look outstanding alongside the Misano Blue color!!!

Also the blue calipers which are standard look great with Misano Blue but I wanted the contrast of the red calipers.

With the top down, in the rain, do the headrests get wet at all? How does alcantara stand up to water splashes? Of course, if you don’t drive top-down in the rain…

Thanks, I believe that the Xpel PPF enhances the color in bright sunlight.

Looks like it stays pretty dry ...

Kidding. I have never tried top-down rain driving.
