Checking the configurator today, I notice four buttons instead of three on the upper left side.Any idea what the second button starting from the top is for?

My sport individual settings are comfort steering, comfort dampers, sport + engine and transmission. I wait until the engine warms up and then pop it in to that mode every time. We have smooth mountain roads so for those I use sport +.

The 360 degrees cam is not available in Europe either.
Enjoy the car, wish you the best experience with it! |

Tried the adaptive mode finally
So after owning the car for almost 4 years and reading all these posts about how awesome the "adaptive" mode to some is I tried it. I only used comfort, sport and sport + modes before this string started. What a yawner. I don't see what it does that so great. The car drives way better in sport or sport+ modes. I don't even know why BMW wasted their time with the "adaptive" mode. I never used it and don't plan on using it. Maybe they took it off because they learned that no one even used it and it cost money to build it.

Also, does your car make a noise when you switch from comfort to sport? I didn’t notice it on my previous car (which didn’t have the adaptive suspension). It sounds like it’s coming from outside the car. |

Regarding noise, if I stomp on the peddle you definitely can hear it. This article explains the difference of the driving modes and what Adaptive Mode can do. https://www.dubizzle.com/blog/cars/bmw-driving-modes/ "Adaptive driving mode automatically adjusts the car’s settings based on driving style, road conditions, and other factors. It uses sensors and algorithms to monitor and analyse driving behaviour. After that, it makes real-time adjustments to the car’s throttle response, transmission, steering, suspension, and other systems. This BMW driving mode offers a versatile and adaptable driving experience, balancing performance and comfort depending on the driving conditions. It can adjust the car’s settings to provide a more relaxed ride in heavy traffic or on the highway or a more engaging and dynamic experience in high-performance driving situations." |
