Yeah it works. That said if its very hot out will heat the phone to auto shut down. Does not like WAZE. Seems to run hotter with that app on.

I was thinking about this yesterday. The black provides a cleaner look and ties in with the wheels and black trim and shadowline elements.
That said, I had the moonlit top with shadowline and black wheels, and the brushed dark denim look of the moonlit top complimented the frozen grey. My personal conclusion was San Remo with black top or moonlit with frozen dark green. Just my opinion though, obviously. |

I would get everything available. Even the phone charging.
Better to have it and not use it. Resale value will also help. Not as if its an option between manual and electric windows: it's all computer controlled so you don't have 'one less failure point' either.

When I ordered my 2023 M40i a year ago I ordered it with everything but the wireless charging. At $500 it was a definite no. At the current $200, it's a maybe.

I know myself well enough to know what I'll use or not use. My current build plan is ZED manual, the shadowline package to nab the LED lights, The HK stereo, and the parking distance control for until I get used to the exact location of the bumpers relative to my surroundings when I park. Nothing else. Just like color choices though, we all have opinions!

They should fit pretty much the same basic car shell, except shortened. That said they are a $4500.00 option on a new car & as for what they sell for as take outs or parts, you might find this of interest:

Would not be anything unusual for BMW. My 135IS convertible was a 335i coupe less about 18". Like most things the carbon seats are worth whatever someone is willing to pay for them. They are very expensive on the used parts market.

I agree with BMW Blog that the handschalter package Z4 M40i is likely a future classic. As SRG is limited to the manual Z4, it may increase resale value if you're going to keep it a while. And you'd likely not want to option away the 19/20 staggered setup.
