1972 BMW 2002 (wish I had a photo of her)
Bought it in '84 for $1,600. Loved it and had 6 other 2002's since then. Fun car that was easy to work on yet always needed to tinker with something. Think I've had about 11 beemers total - I am a lifer... |

Mine was an 89 325i... God I loved that car. I replaced all the wear and tear items and did all the maintenance on it myself. @ years before I sold it to a guy from GA to be turned into a track car. Almost shed a tear when I saw it being driven away and out of my life

Still have her, but she may be going soon since I bought a e82. If I do sell her I know I'm going to cry. 8 years is a lot of time to bond with a car! |

E87 130i.. Still have her
She's a little screamer Probably going to be replaced later this year by a 135i with a little work done to it (380hp will be nice)

Like the OP was, I'm in the Army, but I'm currently in Germany. I needed a car when I moved in and one of the first I saw listed was a 1997 320i. I bought it with some trepidation since it was from a used car dealer in Bavaria, but I was not disappointed! It was a very nice Beemer, especially considering the typical Beeter that you see soldiers with over here. It had the red leather heated seats, sport springs and the top of the line (for the time) interior, gauges, etc. It even had a Webasto parking heater that could be set on a timer to defrost the car in the winter before you get in. (I loved that, if I ever go to another place with a bad winter, I'll probably get one) I changed the oil a few times, replaced rotors and pads, and new trans lines and cooler, but other than that, no maintenance and I sold it for more than I bought it for to use on the down payment for my new one.

My first BMW - 335d
I just bought a 2009 335d with 55k kms (32k miles) on it in Barbera Red. I love diesel cars and trucks. I hope this BMW is reliable. I love driving it so far. It has until October left on the factory warranty. Next post will be with a pic, but it's dark out.
