Depends on the extent of the damage. But yes, if anything, I would call the cops. I feel like it would be risky to defend yourself or retaliate in any way because you might be accused of being an oppressive, rapey abuser.

This is a very controversial topic. It's amazing that when survey's have been taken that women are JUST AS LIKELY TO HAVE BEEN THE AGGRESSORS, AS MEN. Doesn't quite fit the narrative.

Additionally, in states where the aggressor MUST be taken to jail, the rates of violence have miraculously approached equalized levels. Hmmmmmm. Doesn't quite fit the narrative.

I tend to agree, however, this is the exact reason if a woman comes after you, you report it. The people who want everyone to think everyone is equal do not realize there is down side to what they believe. If a women thinks it okay to take a swing at a guy and the guy is just going to take it since they are women, they need to realize it no longer works that way.

I am not proud to say this, but I have decked 2 women in my life. Each time the woman came after me. There were witness and everyone agreed they had it coming. Keep in mind this was all prior to me turning 21 and during a time when police would tell everyone to go home and behave themselves. I also grew being told you never start a fight but you finish it and you do not hit a woman but they are no longer acting like a women if they throwing punches, but if you had it coming to take it.

I am sorry woman can not have it both way, they can not expect not to be hit or pay the consequence of their action if they are going to act like guys. Guys solve disputes with fist and woman us words and belittle other woman, woman fuck with your head.

If she has a knife and you need to punch her quick to get prevent her from stabbing the shit out of you than by all means do what you have to do. Otherwise try to restrain her and LEAVE The residence as soon as possible then call the police. After you call and are out of harms way (away from crazy bitch), start taking pics of any injuries that she caused you. Problem is that if she pushes or hits you and you hit her back you will do way more damage and she can use that against you, as this will be a he said she said story. And if she has all kinds of bruises and black eyes she can say you where kicking her ass and she was defending herself. Best thing to do is to restrain her and get yourself out of the area and than call the cops. It is hard to gauge who the aggressor was in situations like this (especially if neither party has a record for domestic violence) so your best option is to walk away as quick as possible, while doing the least amount of damage possible, and then of course CALL the cops to document.
