Merc's are very tail happy tricky to drive as Ferraris lead the roost at the mo.
Kvyats Honda engine has possibly blown, a new engine!

Max jumped the kerb on 2 then a spin at 13 and returned to the pits.
Ferrari have iron grip on FP3.
Kvyat getting another new spec 4 engine fitted as his delivery miles one has blown
though makes no difference as starting last anyway so won't be in quali.
Max 5th.

wow Leclerc is on fire still.. his lap was in another dimension.. well done to him and i hope this time Ferrari wont steal his victory and give it to Vettel..

Ham was pretty happy to snap 2nd place.. its amazing for such a driver has achieved a lot already can be determined in whatever condition requires.. feeling like the race ll be pretty close tomorrow..

and sorry about Albon.. made such a mistake that happened to Max on FP3 but his was costly.. he ll be fighting tomorrow and if he wont be knocked out on start he ll make a lot of overtakes..

Seems like Ferrari can up their set up at will with more options like Merc had done previously.
Shame Max is down to 9th and knowing him he'll be cutting through the field if the start sequence is working well on the RB.

Wolff has said on itv 4 that he thinks Seb is in the best position to start with the long charge down to the turn.Mercs are the only ones starting on mediums and Ham may be taken by Seb at the start.

I find it simply amazing that these guys can pilot a rocket ship at speeds up to 300+km/h, and put away their fears to find an additional 2-3 tenths of a second on a lap. Absolutely insane.

Ferrari didn't steal Leclerc's SIngapore victory. They wanted to pit him first (reacting to Verstappen pitting). They didn't have enough to call him in as he was already passing the pit entry, so they did the next best thing and called in Vettel. That was Binottos official explanation.

I also heard that Leclerc supposedly tailored his car set up more for qualifying than the race. Vettel supposedly did the opposite. That might explain Vettels superb out-lap that helped him seal the deal.

Either way, I hope Leclerc wins this one!

Well guess that settles it, Hamilton is quicker than Vettel. Now that Vettel is in the better car and still can’t out qualify Lewis(in Singapore or Russia).

you heard Binotto's radio message right after the race?
he talks in Italian.. and says punto in a way that everyone understood.. says come to the pitlane to your place etc... and full stop in italian.. like not even letting him talk..

Vettel is still lead the driver in Ferrari, because of his contract or Ferrari taking aside etc.. no one expected Leclerc this quick this year plan was for 2020 and beyond more likely.. either way, Vettel has been out qualified what was this 8th time? not mentioning wins.. i dont remember anything like this in last 20 years.. Vettel neeeded that win more than Leclerc.. and Leclerc was leading all weekend and then boom lost the race.. again.. they could have told him speed up before pit stop to keep the lead.. he still had some rubber for it.. i dont remember anyone told such thing.. they were telling pace is good on the radio.. maybe Vettel put a nice out lap, but no one tried to save Leclerc's race either.. thats the point..

Think what is going on at Merc,it is like 'Bottas let Ham through' all of the time lol.At least at Ferrari there is the benefit of the doubt.

There can be method in the madness, there are no points for starting on pole however superior it may look or second.Vettel has demonstrated how beneficial it can be to start fourth in Singapore taking into consideration strategies and threats (a word that Wolff has used on Ferrari).

I love Hamilton's "Jet Mode" comments... Like his PU hasn't been leaps ahead of everyone else for the last 5 years.

I'm interested to see how the split strategy plays out in the race, especially the start.

Thanks for the link, I hadn't seen an analysis like that. The interesting thing now is what happens next year. Vettels contract is still good until 2020, so will we have a repeat of the team favoring Vettel despite Leclerc looking like the faster driver and a better hope for a title? I really hope not....

Let the Ferrari's race. Binotto has to step up! In Bahrain Leclerc was faster but here isn't today! Vettel would've passed him anyway.

This is the ass whooping that Leclerc needed. And this is Gerhard Berger telling Vettel not to rely on Leclerc.
