Sounds sick, but the CF pillars are a bit tacky IMO.

A modded 335i on JB3 with map XXX001 and 130 octane would smoke that.

A modded civic with a RWD conversion, NSX engine, Turbo, and a gigantic shot of nitrous can beat your 335 but that's not the point of this thread.

Eh, I'd still take the modded 335i over anything.

Car is definitely a gem but the driver ruined it for me. Why can't any of these guys be well spoken? The whole thug vernacular does not fit with the image of driving a sophisticated automobile.

haha. Agreed! He was so amazed that he could roll all his windows down with one button. Lol. He probably doesn't know anything about the car let alone the turbo set up. Overall the car looked great and sounds awesome.

Yes, but does the Lexus ISF have a bad ass fuel pump that can fail at any time, making the driving experience that much more intense?

Advantages: Lower temps under the hood, less weight in front of the car, and lower bulk oil temps, and obviously you don't have to make room in the engine bay. Also installation takes 6-8 hrs and can easily be removed and returned to stock. Disadvantages: They usually provide somewhat lower performance levels than traditional turbos, typically sized to generate only 5-10psi. Since the turbos are far downstream from the exhaust, the turbos have relatively small turbine housings, I guess that explains the low psi. Of course the book was published 3yrs ago, so maybe there are SOME improvements. The guy might as well just S/C it, probley would have made a little more. |
