Xpel PPF install completed! Pretty much everything except the rear bumper and trunk lid. Now my anxiety level can drop a few notches…

Best value and most highly refined sportster on the market, not that I've driven very many. Reviews are many. |

Yeah most every review I’ve seen for this Z4 has been great. Good gas mileage good speed, good features, decent practicality. It got it all. I need it for an everyday car, so The more reviews I see, the more I feel like we made a good choice.

When I drove the Lexus it felt like sitting in a video game with a mishmash of colors and features buried in menus, to me, very unintuitive. The F-Type’s electronics felt several years behind the curve. The Boxster had a beautiful classic roadster interior, but no head up display and no wireless apple CarPlay. As I mentioned before, the Porsche ride was too harsh and too loud for me to want to be stuck in stop and go traffic every day. In the few days of driving since I picked it up last Tuesday I can honestly say that I love this car and that it has met or exceeded my expectations. |

Dropped off the Z4 to get inspected/emissions/alignment. The indy shop I go to has classic BMW courtesy cars, I got this E39 525i.

I enabled Alexa. It’s pretty geek-tastic! I’ve become a bit jaded when it comes to technology as our main vehicle is my wife’s Tesla, but I think BMW has done really well with a very complicated interface. The one thing I’d like to see is geo based mirror folding and homelink activation. I have both of those on the Tesla and they are nice features. It seems a minor stretch from the automated window app. I’m not sure if the homelink buttons are tied into the overall system, but the mirrors certainly are.

Alignment was a good idea; my front and rear toe and rear camber were off. Who knows if it was like that from the factory or got out of whack in transit. I had the same experience with my last two new BMWs, they required alignment from day one.
I'm impressed that the car has nearly -2 degrees front camber. Charles
