Yes…. It is pretty damn hot. I’ve been preparing myself by driving around with windows down and sunroof open hahaha! Just to get used to the 94 degree weather for convertible driving.

Try "The Grill" in Leon Springs. Incredible chef. We're foodies too, do getaways staying at Hotel Emma in the Pearl District often. Love the restaurants there. Tre Trattoria on the riverwalk is not to be missed if you like Italian food. https://www.tretrattoria.com/ Emma's "Supper" is good, they're all good in the district.

Sometimes shop at the Ali Baba grocer on Wurtzbach in the Asian district.

Boerne is a nice town. We live in Fredericksburg.

I’ve been wanting to make a trip up that way. Heard there were some wineries up there. Would be nice to take the Mrs up that way.

We are the Napa of the southwest. 290E is winery row. 55 around Fredericksburg alone.

Welcome. You definitely are getting something different. I think you will enjoy the Z4 more than the Audis. It has more room and the ZF8 tranny is ultra smooth and very responsive on the shift/ sport mode. It is the closest thing to a manual of any automaker.

Surf around the threads. We have another here that has good info on deliveries and Service Bulletins you might want to ponder. It is the Z4 M40i Build timeline.

I also test drive a red with white seats but it had no way I was doing that again. My old 350z had light gray seats and the color of my jeans stained the seats. Was so mad!!!

I went with red because of the bright contrast…. Makes it stand out a bit more. Would have loved to get some red painted calipers too but couldn’t choose something that got me those without also getting the M suspension, which I didn’t care for.

My avatar pic is of me inside the car I test drive which was very similar to the configuration I actually bought.

Yeah I though the white seats would have been hard to keep clean. I kind of wish I had went for the red leather, as you say it does stand out more. I ordered mine with the MSport pro, Tech pack and Comfort plus, but I couldn't see anywhere in the configuration where I could change from the blue calipers to the new red ones

I was locked on black with cognac interior out of the gate. My TT back in the day was classic silver with black. There are a number of stunning combinations. It really depends on what you like. If you don’t like it down the road you can always wrap it for ~$2500.

When I bought mine, there were only 2 M40i's within 1000 miles. One was white with black interior and 600 miles away. The other was Frozen Grey with red interior and 10 miles away. Nothing to debate…
