FWIW, It works for me. This is great news. BMW no longer paying for hotel stay is unfortunate but it still is better than GM charging for normal delivery fee along with museum delivery fee and not providing hotel for Corvette museum delivery.

Do you not pay dealer fees if you pickup from the PCD? My dealer told me Destination & Handling is the same regardless.

Well... Destination is not a fee dealer charges. It's a fee BMW charges. At least BMW isn't charging more for PCD. Missed the European Delivery boat. Part of the reason I want a new Porsche even though they are 40% to 50% more than a Z4.

This is correct. You still pay standard delivery charge but BMW doesn’t add an additional charge on top of it like GM does.

For a one week trip, the trunk space is amazing, but a 2-3 week European vacation (from the US) (with my wife) might prove to be a challenge.

2-3 weeks for two people should be fine
We've done a month in Europe with two carry-on suitcases and two underseat bags. That would fit in a G29. You do need to wash things in your room or find a laundromat.

This is going to be a tough one considering the Z4 is made in SC. I can't imagine them even considering shipping the car over to Europe for delivery just to bring it back (at their cost). lol

Z4s haven't been built in SC in over 15 years. The current ones are built in Steyr Austria.

Only X's are made in SC. At least when I toured the factory 5 or so years ago. X3, 4, 5 & 6. But who knows now.

Submitted my build sheet yesterday to my sales guy (San Remo Green/6speed). Guess I will add an extra month onto my timeline now that I know it will have to get to the west coast.

Production number for our 6 speed Z4 M40i has been assigned.
That was quick.

I’m actually about to turn in my 718 GT4 for the manual Z4, it’s literally 50k less. Just worried I’ll regret it.
