I don't know if something has changed as I've never owned a Z4 and I pick up mine on Monday but when I test drove it I put my phone on the wireless charging pad and there was a direct cold breeze blowing on the phone. The A/C was on.

Interesting. Can you identify specifically where the cold air is coming from?

It felt like it was blowing from the rear.

That would be the right way to solve the problem. Maybe the extra high cost of the option is to recoup the design cost.

Now I’m curious about this as well. I had posted in another thread that my experience with the wireless charger on this car seemed much better than my previous one. My sample size is limited since I’ve had the car less than a week, but maybe this is why. I’ll check this next time I’m in it.

IMHO, people can save $500 and not order the wireless charger that has proven to be problematic at best. |

On hot days, especially in traffic, I use the AC even with the top down. Conversely, I use the heat with the top down if it’s cold enough too, along with the heated seats & wheel.
I if can’t drive with the top down, I won’t take the Z out at all generally speaking. |

Hmm I will look into this . We have two 2024 Z4s on the lot right now. This would be a huge plus

Worked well for me on the way home and that’s with the challenging iPhone 14 Max and a case.
Phone was warm when I took it out but not an issue. Not sure I could detect and sort of fan / aircon action but will check tomorrow
