Z4 M40i with RW Carbon front splitter and rear diffuser

Just finished the install yesterday. If anyone is interested, the front splitter install was extremely easy. The rear diffuser is more complicated, but it's not overly difficult. I managed to pull it off without instructions. You will need some tools however. In person I can safely say the car looks quite a bit better. It was really missing a front splitter to finish off the front end. The carbon components seem to be fairly good quality and fitment is good. It's a darker carbon fiber, which is what I was hoping for. Photos attached for anyone who's thinking of doing it and wants to see what it looks like.

Looking good! Is your splitter also available in a composite, as well as a CF one? Guess not, I just checked their site.

I think you'll be pleased. The front splitter makes even more difference than the rear diffuser in terms of overall aesthetics in my opinion.

Here's a close-up of the carbon fiber weave.

masaville88 thanks for sharing the extra photo— that looks amazing! So mine is in Ohio now, and will arrive Monday. I’m dropping the car off Monday for ceramic, so I’ll run back to that shop Tuesday morning with the splitter to get installed. As noted (and per CaboM4 asking) — yeah my car is Glacier silver metallic. So it will look different but hopefully good.

I’ll be curious to see how the “pewter” exterior accents plus silver car go with the CF weave but based on your photo, I’m expecting GREATNESS! Thx again— I’ll prob just hijack/reply to your thread with my photos rather than create me own unless you mind!? :P

I couldn't agree more. I found this ACS spoiler last fall while searching. Having said that, the only reason I don't have it is because it's crazy priced, IMO. $990.00 and in primer? But I too, love the look.

I know the price is a killer. Especially since full trunk spoilers are floating around for half the price !!

Had the same attitude here re: ACS rear “wing” — i like the look of it, but the fact it needs paint/etc to work makes it a hard sell at the price point. As noted above, others exist that look “ok” but are half cost, no paint. What i really want is a duck tail like the A90 Supra but nothing good exists there for our cars that i’ve found.

Got my CF splitter (front) from RW Carbon today, and my car is at the detail shop right now getting polished, ceramic coated, etc. We did unwrap the parcel to inspect (no damage, excellent shipping, kudos to the team at RW Carbon). I should have but forgot to take photos of the piece before install.

Look for good photos tomorrow, though!

Picked up my car from being at the detail shop (REHAB Detail in Cleveland, Ohio). They did a polish, ceramic coating (including wheels off) and then fabric treated canvas top. While the car was there I had the RW Carbon front lower lip installed, too. Hence why I am sharing photos in this thread.

They said the fit was top notch quality, really perfect, and they were impressed compared to other brands they had seen. So it got kudos from the detail shop. I’m super happy with the outcome!

It looks real good, but your point is too valid. If I got one, it would crack on the first pull outa the driveway.

Looks great! The z4 desperately needs an aftermarket splitter and it makes such a big difference cosmetically. The car should have come like that.

If you don't lower the car you can get out of a steep driveway with this splitter. You just have to take it at a 45° angle. I've already tested it on a very steep driveway. However, if you plan to lower with springs or coilovers forget it. You'll lose another inch or so and I guarantee you you'll be scraping on speed bumps and driveways. Speaking from personal experience with cars I've owned at that ride height. You can still lower it with this splitter, but steep driveways will be difficult to navigate.

A few more pics for those thinking of purchasing.

Just looking at the splitter front and rear, as well as the smaller RW Carbon trunk spoiler. How is it holding up thus far, have read some negative comments on the clear coat yellowing over time, etc.

Thank you

Thank you
I have a front lip from them and a diffuser.
The front lip was completeley bent when i recieved it, and the mounting instructions they had at the time one the diffuser was for the wrong car.

You have to cut up the rear diffuser to make it fit, the bodyshop luckily had a 30i at the shop at the same time as we were working on it, we ended up using the 30i diffuser, since it didn't fit that well on the 40i diffuser.

Their customer support and parts quality is really bad, i painted over mine so i couldn't tell how the clear coat is holding up.
