PORT: 6.5 weeks and counting … anyone beat that
No idea WTF is going on. Emailed “genius” and got some bland form mail that shipping times vary. My dealer says “doesn’t usually take that long”
Will be 7 weeks in port on Monday. Starting to get really pissed off. What the current record? Anyone beat 7 weeks? Edit: now up to 7.5 weeks Edit: Looks like finally on the boat at 8 weeks. God help the poor soul who comes after and attempts to break my "record" Last edited by Pprior; 05-22-2023 at 06:49 AM.. |

The crazy part is your car was built the same day as mine. Now mine's sitting 'At the port' in Brunswick, waiting to be shipped to the PC. They said about 2 weeks prior to delivery, so it should leave the middle of next week. With delivery on the 1st, that'll be a month from arrival at the port. If I wasn't doing PCD, I'd probably have it by now. Hope yours gets shipped soon.

Going on 4 weeks, truly hope it's not going to take that long. However, just for fun go on google satellite view and zoom into Bremerhafen...zoom in...must have sitting 10k cars in all the lots. Obviously, it's not real-time but the image is from 2023, I think it will take a while...

Damn, that’s brutal. I was there 5 & 1/2 and I thought that was long. Fingers crossed for you!

That does indeed suck. Last August, mine sat at the port for two weeks before loading and I was already chomping at the bit. It sounds like port congestion has increased rather than decreased since the pandemic.

I would explicitly ask, in writing, that the dealers confirm that there has been no damage to your vehicle whatsoever that required repairs at the port. The dealer is under no obligation to disclose damage that is repaired at the port under a certain value (which I forget what # or % that is) unless specifically asked. Make sure they respond in writing.
In my experience, cars that are at the port of arrival for a period this long may have had some adverse event. If these are still at the port of departure, this advice may not be as relevant. |

Entering it in tracking for customer number or any of the other two options shows "no results"...any idea when it would show up or is there another tracker somewhere?

Technically it should be BOL number AEB30401, leaving Bremerhaven on May 12 to Galveston on ARC Independence... but comes back as no results A=to US EB304= vessel number? 01=Destination US Anything I'm doing wrong?

7 weeks today
Here is the reply from dealer: “The port has to disclose to us if damage does happen during transport, and a disclosure comes with the vehicle stating what the damage was. They have not notified us of anything. There would also be an additional note on the vehicle's production number that would show if work was done, and this also has not changed. To our knowledge there is nothing that has happened to the vehicle besides a slow start getting on the boat” |
