THis book is fantastic as it indexes by both the name of the drinks AND the contents so you can look up say "Vodka" and find mixes with it.

Rule number 1 is Ice, tons and tons of ice.

A great set-up man, it's potential is limited only by the size of your wallet lol. Here's my collection, it has kind of out-grown the bottom two shelves of the cabinet which I had originally allocated. These are the bottles that have been opened....... and my Motley Crue action figures.

So they are locked in a safe bolted to the wall and floor. So lawfully stored, and only two people have the combination......how far apart from the alcohol should the gun safe be to make it safe? In another building, the fact that guns and alcohol are kept in the same house or the same room doesn't really change things does it? I like to think I can go into the room and pick a bottle of wine for dinner and not be tempted to go on a shooting rampage , if I was going to get drunk in any room in the house this wouldn't be the one. It would likely be in my living room or out on the deck. Again, perfectly legal, and from my perspective perfectly safe.

Its always easy to tell when people have not grown up or been around guns, as they for some reason think the suckers just go off on their own.

Anyway - here is my whiskey shelf of open bottles that is in the room next to my gun safe My unopened bottles are either on a rack in my storage room or in the safe itself if they are higher dollar bottles. Mixing stuff is all in the cabinets.

I'll be building a custom set of shelves to keep it better organized here shortly.

May I suggest shelving at tiered heights to make access easier.

Going to be some tiered parts and it will be about twice as much space as I will be taking over that whole wall for the display.

damn, I've got some catching up to do. I may not have quantity but there's some quality in there. All the vodka stays in the freezer though.

The city is my game room, although not much happening round here these days so a lot of just sitting on the patio watching the homeless wander around.

Damn, that must be big wall! It makes the Sony look tiny. I also have a Sony 85” so I know it’s a beast! Here’s mine.

To answer the question, I have one drink most nights, usually an aperitif such as one of the bitters I listed. Enjoy a beer when grilling but just the one and also enjoy making cocktails when guests were over before the world stopped spinning.

Those of you with "shelf" that has no retaining walls: SHAME on you! That shit could so easily hit the floor, and many of you have a pet included in your picture, they all seem to have tails.

I checked, most of you also don't live in earthquake country . . .

I'm not much of a drinker anymore, but I do have quite the collection of Jack Daniels bottles.

To the collectors out there, if you are interested in rare, autographed bottles of Jack Daniels, PM me. My father was best friends with Jimmy Bedford and he got to know Jeff Arnett and Frank Bobo very well. We were/are Tennessee Squires. I have White Rabbit Saloon bottles (w/serial numbers), a bottle of 1904 Gold Medal Ribbon, a bottle of Frank Sinatra Select with the leather case, a bottle of 1984 Gold Medal Ribbon in a case, 70th and 75th Anniversary bottles in a case, Sturgis bottle set (all 3 bottles), the first three years of Holiday Select, and a ton of other small stuff that isn't available to the public. All bottles are signed by master distillers, some are signed by multiple master distillers. I also have barrel number 69 (each barrel was laser etched with it's perspective number) of the TV advert original barrel tree. It's also signed by Bobo, Arnett and Jimmy Bedfords Widow Emily.
