I'm going electric

We had our first real snow of the season and I got out my new battery powder snowblower. It was great and I was able to finish the job in less than half the time of my old gas powered snowblower.

Only about 6 inches of snow as shown in the first photo, but it reminded me of our March 2003 snow storm in the second photo.

The drift in my driveway was way over my old Z3! And no, there isn't a car under that snow.

My God, that's a lot of snow in 2003.

It's difficult for someone like me who lives near the equator to imagine how it's like to live with so much snow.

Hope this winter will be smoother.

The good thing about it is that it is unusual for my area of the country to get that much snow. We haven't had anything close to that since then.

Not until the infrastructure gets built! (Most likely in the far future.)

I think you beat me. I'm at just under 6000 feet in Highlands Ranch. I think Golden is in a gap in the mountains or something because it always seems to get hit worse than most other places in the Denver metro area.

Actually, I'm up in Genesee (7600ft), so we really get dumped here.

Yep, I can see why you would get even more up there than in Golden.

Will I ever get to 1200 miles?

The joys of living in the Rocky Mountains (well near the Rocky Mountains).
