4/1/22 - Exterior Body Assembly Begins
4/1/22 - In the Paint Booth

4/21/22 - At the port
4/27/22 - In Transit
5/25/22 - At the Dealership
5/25/22 - Delivered

Placed order on December 9th. Got an allocation yesterday.
I was on a fence between misano blue and sapphire black.
Decided at the last moment to go with black because I've never seen misano in the wild and didn't want to take the risk.

Plan to do light mods. Spacers, lowering springs, painted reflectors, M mirror caps, tint.

This is my 8th BMW and the 5th time ordering and waiting.

I'm one of those people that turns most of the toys off. I have Driving Assistance Plus Package on my X3MC and don't use it. HUD is off all the time. The only reason I got premium package is because I wanted ivory seats.
I wish G29 had old school round gauges, no idrive and manual transmission. Talk about enthusiast car. I do like DSC though.

Mine is without the HUD in the package I passed on because I didn't want leather (hate the headrest stitching). For me, blind spot & ACC are mandatory options and not having Plus/Pro a big Z4 compromise. At $700, would still add Driving Assistance for resale if buying.

Have to agree on the blind spot. It saved me countless times. There are huge blindspots in the rear quarters. My neck thanks me for having it. Might want to reconsider.

Not concerned about resale value. I lease my cars.

M0011, you may wish to consider ordering the Moonlight soft top as opposed to the standard black top and also the red calipers.

Just called Genius to get production date and told them about the issue.

By the way, I have the black high gloss trim and in only a few months it is starting to show micro scratches. I currently having ceramic coating put on my Z4 and I asked my shop to place PPF on the console area to protect the high gloss finish before I do any further damage to it.

During my build, bmwusa.com was down several time, but they usually got it back up after a day or two.

The "build your own" section on the BMW site is up and running again.

The blind spot protection (which I have) is part of the Driving Assistance Package ($700), the Active Cruise Control (which I really wish I had) is a separate option ($1200). It is a shame that they didn't offer a bundle of both features together at a discount.

I really miss not having the Active Cruise Control while driving in South Florida as it would be extremely useful not only driving at high speeds on I-95 and the Florida Turnpike but also while cruising at lower speeds on roads like US-1. People down here are terrible drivers!

By the way, I noticed that you added the BMW M 50 Years Emblems to your build. They are really beautiful and I wish I had them on my baby!

I figured if I don't like them it's an easy fix. It would look kick ass on misano.

Less than $700 if leasing. Being sorry you did likely to hurt less than being sorry you didn't.

It's not the money, i just find it annoying, the beeping and vibrating. Question: does Z4 come with overhead composite view?
