Did the deal this morning. Drove down to Tampa and traded the M850i on a '23 Z4 M40i. I'm very pleased with the end result. They gave me $9k more for my trade then the dealer closest to me offered. This is what I ordered:

Congrats! Did they give you and sort of idea on the timeline? I am also looking for a Z4, but may go the order route if I can’t find what I want.

Also, we’re you able to negotiate anything off MSRP?

They said 4 months give or take a couple weeks. I couldn’t find what I wanted, and since I might keep this one a while, I decided to get exactly what I.

No discount, but my trade was better than expected. I made an offer and they accepted it.

I thought it had to be ordered in 2022 but I could be wrong. I would call up your salesman and ask as those badges look fabulous!

He should be able to enter it as an option just like any other package

FYI I'm shopping around, about to put in an order for an '23 M40i and the best I've seen so far is $1500 off of MSRP. I've had a lot of snippy responses along the lines of "we sell cars at MSRP, feel lucky we're not marking them up."

They are on the 2023 order guide as a $200 option. I’m assuming that means they are still available.

Thanks. About what I’m expecting. I did see a broker offering 2% off, so that’s about the same.

He said 1-2 weeks. Should know for sure by the end of the month. He claims they are the largest dealer on the Florida west coast. It’s a big beautiful store. They have 52 acres of car dealerships, BMW Audi Porsche VW Land Rover and Subaru.

I would give it right back to the salesman and say that you should feel lucky I was considering to buy from you and walk out.

My AD says the order book for the MY23 Z4 hasnt opened yet and that no orderes can be placed against the factory yet. Have you been told something different?

That wouldn't make any sense. Even if it was an option installed at the PDC, they wouldn't be able to determine with certainty when it arrived at the dealership or when a customer would actually take delivery.

Logically, I'd think it would be based upon production date rather than delivery date.

Good point. I believe the order price list does have a comment about year 2022, but it’s not clear if it’s delivery, order or manufacture. I would tend to believe manufacture/production date, also.

Regardless, there’s a short time window where you will see 2023 year with 2022 badges.
