Anything about the M850i you think you'll miss?

I’ve been thinking about that. I’ll miss the front camera, the powered steering column, the trunk lid lifter, the cooled seats (although they don’t work that well), the convenient cup holders, the rear steer, and I’m sure there is more. I won’t miss the semi autonomous driving though.

Regardless, there’s a short time window where you will see 2023 year with 2022 badges.
From the MY 23 order and pricing guide. Check 3MQ on the right side (EOP 12/22)

My ideal BMW would be a Z4 sized 8er coupe. I like the added weight & bigger engine. Think we differ in that regard. My old car had similar column, trunk & seat features. I miss the trunk kick but never used the cooling function and forgot about the column till your mention. Have been getting in & out easily without it moving. Read something about using a second programmed seat position as a workaround. Would love a 360 camera and more autonomous help but things I have not had in the past so easier to be without. Did you have rear steer in your 911? Great in the M850i! Don't know how to imagine it in the Z4.

Finding cupholders better than expected with small cups & cans but would prefer more room. You'll find posts on here with some creative owner solutions. I wasn't happy with anything else I tried.

.
Yes my GTS had it. Honestly, if I wasn't close to replacing my SUV, I would have bought another 911. As I said in the past, the reason I sold it was health. I have since had that corrected.

I programmed position 2 where the seat goes as far back as possible to make entry and exit easier and position 1 is my driving position.

Yup, I remember seeing that. EOP: End Of Production? Seems like a good guesstimate.

That's an improvement. I waited 6 months.

I forgot to mention one other thing, if you want a 911 plan on a year wait.

I was able to save to my photos on my phone but I can't paste when copying or saving on my PC. Don't forget I'm old.

Coming from two 650i’s (an F12 and then an F13), I think you are spot on, and I do miss the 360 camera, but the trade off is well worth it and you are going to enjoy the Z4 driving experience much more, especially if you take it on the twisty mountain roads. For me it is a totally different experience than driving the 650. The 650 was more of a luxury performance vehicle with the emphasis on luxury and it felt “big”, where the Z4 M40i feels like a small and nimble performance luxury vehicle with the emphasis on the visceral driving experience while providing the luxury perks. I realize that it’s not an M-Competition, but as a daily driver and weekend mountain driver it has exceeded my expectations.

My statement was made for parking reasons, ever hook your fascia on a rebar sticking out of a concrete wheel stop?

I have a concrete wheel stop where I park in my condo and once I pulled up a little too close and the next morning I heard it make contact when I backed out. Luckily it amounted to nothing but now I am extremely careful.

Agree that a front camera would be handy for parking.
