I’d go with the cognac with the red or blue. White with TN.

Don't fall into the "HAPPY WIFE HAPPY LIFE" trap which has brainwashed many people, get the color you really want!!!

Thundernight, cognac, extended shadowline blue calipers, replace badges with gloss black.

Cognac for red or blue. Ivory for Thundernight.

IMHO, Ivory looks great on SFR and really pops on Portimao Blue.
Cognac does work with TN and is a little more conservative than ivory.

At the end of the day, color preference is very subjective.
Different strokes for different folks!

This is a fun and special car. If you plan on making it a keeper get what YOU want. It’s just my opinion, but every time I see a black convertible I just shake my head in disbelief. Makes no sense to me that anyone would enjoy a black car in the warm sunshine. I do get the idea of going under the radar, but black just says all business to me.

Get the thundernight and I’d bet you will be happier and your wife will eventually tell you she is glad you made the choice and went with an interesting color.

I totally agree, if Rcasa20's dealer has a TN M240i in his new or used inventory he should take his wife over to see the color in person. IMHO, black is boring and a roadster is supposed to be fun!!!

I'm still debating white, blue, or green. And 19" jet black or the 19/20 package wheels. Guess I still have time, no allocations at either local dealer yet.

On the upside, one could flip a coin on any of them (including red, black or TN) and have a great looking car.

Go for the gusto and get the 19/20 wheels! 👍🏻

Probably will, ditto for the green paint. The incredibly few people who see the car would then know exactly what it is.

But I do love the blue and the white as well, and the black wheels. Good decision to have to make I guess.

More people that order colors instead of white/black/gray makes it more likely we'll actually get colors in the future! Go with the green!

Just to let you know any dark colors like thundernight or green is going to be pretty close to maintaining a black car , i had a dark blue corvette and it was equally bad as maintaining a black car but looked awesome majority of time with ceramic coating and had to be washed more

I hear ya. That’s a tough call. The San Remo IMHO will probably be more rare and looks killer with the cognac leather. Classic roadster combo. If we were talking Jags it’d be a no brainer.

On the other hand the Portimao is a fantastic shade of blue. But I’m a fan of most bimmer blues so take that for what it is.

Ideal world you’d buy both!! EOD this is a good first world problem to solve. Good luck!

Portimao Blue has been available on several different models, my friend had it on a M240i and it looked great.

I agree with you that SRG/ cognac in a roadster is definitely a classic look and in this case I think the way to go! 👍🏻

Completely agree, these aren’t British roadsters so I just can’t order a German car that wears any type of dark green. Love the Bimmer blues though!!
