Then you really need to swap it for something more suitable. I had the same problem when I used two pillows at once, so - just a sherryvan mentioned - I got the neck pain in the result, since the construction itself was too high for me.
Decided to buy an orthopedic one - UTTU Sandwich, medium soft memory foam - no problems since then.

We just spent ten days in the same hotel in London and for the first time in years I didn't wake up with a sore neck every day. We've been back two days and both days my neck has been sore waking up. So yes, it has to be my pillow here. I should have stolen that pillow from the hotel and paid whatever price they asked.
