Factory specs below:

Bolt pattern: 5x112
Center Bore: 66.6mm
Bolt: M14 x 1.25
Torque: 140nm (103 ft lbs)

Factory 18s:
8"x18"et20
9"x18"et28
225/45 front tire
255/40 rear tire

Factory 19s:
9"x19"et32
10"x19"et40
255/35 front tire
275/35 rear tire



Here are some wheel options that were pulled from Tire Rack (TR) and 1010tires. Both have been reliable in the past for aftermarket wheels that fit on stock suspension without any modifications:

FRONT:
9et35 - 3mm closer to strut, 3mm further from fender (TR)
9et30 - 2mm from strut, 2mm closer to fender (1010tires)
9et25 - 7mm from strut, 7mm closer to fender (1010tires & TR)
9et20 - 12mm from strut, 12mm closer to fender (1010tires)
9.5et30 - 4.3mm closer to strut, 8.3mm closer to fender (TR)
9.5et25 - .7mm from strut, 13.4mm closer to fender (TR)
9.5et26 - .3mm closer to strut, 12.4mm closer to fender (2018 m5 19" wheel)


REAR:
10.5et30 3.7mm from strut, 16.4mm closer to fender (1010tires)
10.5et42 8.3mm closer to strut, 4.3mm closer to fender (TR)
10.5et38 4.3mm closer to strut, 8.3mm closer to fender (TR)
10.5et35 1.3mm closer to strut, 11.4mm closer to fender (TR)
10.5et28 5.7mm from strut, 18.4mm closer to fender (2018 m5 19" wheel)

The M5 19" wheels should theoretically fit since they fall within the ranges confirmed by TR and 1010tires (with the exception of the rear 10.5" which is only off by 2mm from a confirmed fit).


If you're looking for more grip, then MPS4S are the best out there without going streetable autocross/track tires.
275/30ZR19 MPS4S Recommend 9.5" wheel ($312.99)
295/30ZR19 MPS4S Recommend 10.5" wheel ($349.99)
305/30ZR19 MPS4S Recommend 11" wheels, but the mounting range starts at 10.5" ($377.99)

Yes, the 275/30 and 295/30 are smaller overall diameter than the factory 255/275, but only marginally and would cause a speedo error of ~2%, or .6mph (speedo reads 30mph, you're actually doing 29.4mph, radar gun would probably read 29-31mph depending on level of accuracy).

Did some measurements this evening on inner and outer clearances for front and back wheels. Finding wheels that would sit within these measurements will allow the 275/295 wheel setup.

Front:
10mm from strut
8mm from fender

Rear:
25mm from strut
12.5mm from fender

Updated the OP as well to reflect this. Wheel sizes in Red will still fit the vehicle, but smaller width tires will be needed (255 in front instead of 275, 285 in back instead of 295).

Also, the m5 wheels will fit, but there would be ~1-3mm of poke on the wheels, so smaller tires would be required (again, 255/285 would probably be best).

Using the ECSTuning spacer fitment rental kit, I found the following spacers will bring the wheels flush with the fenders:

8mm front
12-13mm rear (12.5mm is exactly flush)

ECSTuning offers a 12.5mm spacer for the rear with extended lug nuts, but other manufacturers may only offer 12 and 13mm. This is why I did a range instead.



If looking at aftermarket wheels, the following sizes would clear the fender and suspension. The lower offsets would make the wheels flush, so they are advised for stock suspension only, not lowering springs:

19 x 9.5 et30 to et33 ideal for front 275/35 (or 275/30)
19 x 9 et24 to et40 ideal for front 255/35
19 x 11 et42 to et48 ideal for rear 305/30
19 x 10.5 et35 to et52 ideal for rear 295/35 (or 295/30)

Really helpful information. Not a lot of pics with aftermarket wheels. I'm thinking of getting new wheels just can't decide if 19 or 20.

No really isnít a lot. Someone said aftermarket 19s donít clear the brakes and thatís why the big companyís went with 20s and that doesnít make sense. Based on my measurements, a low offset 18 should also fit front and rear.

Iím considering 18s for the added sidewall for launches and ride comfort, but thinking it might look ridiculous.

I feel 18s might be too small?? Are you planning on lowering? Not sure if any springs are available but always had good luck with eibach pro-kits. Great comfort/performance balance

H&R has lowering springs for the z4/supra (and I'm sure other manufacturers who only advertise for the supra). I've considered lowering but I like the ride comfort of the stock suspension. Still on the fence.

and I've considered going 18s because of the thicker sidewall. Would allow for a more comfortable ride if lowered, but also more sidewall for flex at launch (allows for better launches when running lower PSI).
