What's more important is Vettel having an answer to Leclerc and Leclerc fanboys.

The thing I found interesting was that Albon matched Max's time. He seems to being a much, much better job than Gasly has done. I'll be surprised if he's not Max's teammate next year.

I don't think Seb even thought that was possible after FP2!

I also like how Ham was crying that Bottas got a .5 sec tow in FP2 and then still gets beat by him in quali..

He said after FP2 that it was a good session and there's a lot more potential they extract from the car.

Interesting race results due to an interesting first lap (aside from the top 3). Albon gets his career best finish and only the top 5 finish on the lead lap (which I think is a first for this season).

Leclerc may still get a penalty due to his contact with Max on the first lap. I know that Ferrari wanted a point for fastest lap, but they had an over 20s gap back to 7th before pitting which would most likely have been more than enough to cover any possible time penalty. It was inevitable that Mercedes was going to win the constructors championship this season so I dont get the push for delaying that becoming official by one race.

On a separate note, Sainz has now overtaken Gasly in the points for 6th and is winning the "F1.5 Championship". Seems that he's a solid yet underrated driver. Hopefully McLaren continue their upward trajectory to exploit his talents.

Whether Charles will get some sort of slap for sliding into Max remains to be seen,it was not good driving by him and causing problems to other cars by his shredding front wing.Agree that the championship was as good as done for Merc with only Lewis's moaning detracting from the achievement.

Both Renault's ECU's and steering wheels have been impounded by FIA following a protest by Racing Point..the process of checking them could take some time.

Max lost 25% of downforce in the clash so there was no point of him continuing hence Christian retired the car.Leclerc received two time penalties,a total of 15 seconds.5 for sliding into Max and 10 for shedding debris onto the track staying out when he should have came in.

MAX vs Charles = #nofriends !
The stupid incident is 100% Charles fault ! The floor of the Red Bull was badly damaged and he was loosing time by lack of balance . So MAX's race was over in lap 15 and my 24 hour race as well . Did I stayed awake for more than 24 hours to watch the retarded move from Charles ?
Hell no !!! F@ck you Charles ! You stupid Frenchman ! That's what MAX said 2 .
Sadly all this happened in HONDA's home race ...Damn you Charles !!!

Indeed . There was plenty room for LeCrash . There was actually room for 3 cars .
LeCrash saw MAX coming on the outside (100% sure) That's why we saw his move . He tried to avoide that by steering to the ouside in the turn and slided (understeered) into MAX .
If there was no contact ...MAX overtook LeCrash for sure !

I'm......Still lost in words !

LeCrash saw Max on the outside and he must have put more gas on and slid into poor Max.Lecs move was akin to a boy racer who has driven his newly purchased turbo car for the first time.

I don’t know why you’re complaining. That’s racing. LeC was just “focused on the result” as you said it to describe Max once. NumbMax tried to go on the outside where 2 cars don’t fit and got his fingers caught in the cookie jar. Price of arrogance and overestimating yourself I guess.
