Also if you have instability in your shoulders add in some pauses and slow the movement down. For example, 3 seconds concentric (pressing up), 3 seconds hold overhead, 3 seconds eccentric (lowering the dumbells down) and then immediately start the next rep. Also just doing static holds overhead with dumbells is great for building overhead strength/stability.
Over extending at the top though.

Hit my first ring muscle up today on 18.3! Gymnastics game is weak so this was a big PR! That workout is insane, think anyone will finish it?
Iím hoping so...my life time 1rm on BS is 425. Trying to get back to that or a bit higher. Was only bout 1yr ago I hit that.

Congrats on the RMU! Those are tough to get. Now you need to start stringing them together. But getting just 1 in a Open workout makes a big difference, pack separator.

Iím not doing the Open this year, letting a shoulder injury heal. So I havenít really been following the workouts. Itís actually nice to take a break from it! 8 yrs in a row of doing it (registered) wore me out! Haaaa

New HSPU standards wrecked me. Got 21 hspu cleared but no repped probably 25 more, sooooo annoying. About to do the last one workout now.

Got our squat rack, bench, pr max bar, bumper plates today coming on Monday. Like thr bar it's Texas power bar with some coating feels like it's chalked handling dry and knurling is more agressive.

Every year it seems like they change standards on something, so annoying. The first time they changed the HSPU it got me no repíd a ton. I was so fín pissed. The second part of that workout was brutal.

Not surprised 18.5 is a redo, Castro does it every year. The Re-Test.

Very nice!

I've been using my new edge fitness SSB this last 2 weeks and I love it, feels better than the elite FTS one at my old gym, and better balanced than the rogue

Up to 365 x 5 paused, not sure if that's good or not as I have very little experience with this bar

I've only used the one we have at the gym, ssb, a few times. Like the idea but feels awkward kind of too me also. Never have attempted to go heavy at all using it.

The edge bar feels very natural, like it's sitting in exactly the right spot.

With the elite FTS ssb it felt like the COG of the weights was all wrong, and when I squatted in oly shoes it kept thrashing my upper back not my legs and posterior chain and throwing me forward which is NOT what I want from a squat - maybe if you're trying to build support strength for equipped triple ply high bar squats the elite FTS ssb might be useful but not for raw bodybuilding lifting imo

The edge ssb groove feels very close to a real backsquat, just you cant have the same upper back tension you get from holding a straight bar, so it can get sloppy if you don't focus

I can recommend it very highly for a home gym, it's easily the best alternate squat bar I've used (including cambered yoke and 2 other brands of SSB)

I tried some higher reps and it didnt feel like it corrupted the groove much even on a 225x20 set

FINALLY back to a semi respectable baseline, and a huge goal since my first surgery 2 years ago

Dumbbell paused flat bench, 120's for 10

Since I've maxed out 24 hour's DBs now, and don't press at home because I don't have a bench, I'll make 15 reps my next goal. Hopefully my shoulder holds up. Considering trying to get back into inclines, but it might not be worth the risk

Thanks wasn't terribly difficult. Bar I used at gym had too much flex and did little bounce before start and that made it feel heavy on way down but went up fine.

Paused 330 bench today. Went kayaking on lake prior and shoulders felt nice and warmed up. Think there is a bit more in the tank.
