Exactly, after going to the first two, I realized there was nothing to see there, and every driver seemed to hate it too. Plus there wasn't much to do within walking distance of the track and there was no public transit. Oh, and Tony George is a giant cock.

YEEEAAAAAAAHAAAAAHH!!!! TEXAS is King!!!

Having an F1 race here is one thing, but having an F1 circuit to play on will be insane. Hopefully I will have updated to a GT3 by then. I'm so happy that I could cry

Can't be worse than Abu Dhabi or Bahrain...

I'm extremely excited about this. I live only 10 minutes from Texas Motor Speedway, but since I'm not a NASCAR fan I rarely go there. I will definitely make the three hour drive to Austin for a GP.

I would prefer NY but Austin is awesome too. Easy fly in, incredible night and day life, and kick ass babes and ribs. Maybe I'll drive down from MD.

I think this is great news. EVeryone I know that has been to Austin really loves it there. It's supposed to have a great nightlife, lots of bars and restaurants. And it's easy to fly to. Win-win it is sounding like. Now if we can get a look at what the track is going to be, that would be helpful.

If it is, it's really too bad. Indy was terrible, and I really can't think of any tracks he's done since then that deserve any credit, but I can't think of any. This has colossal fail written all over it.

SoCal is where the USGP belongs (aftermarket & car industry capital of the world) ..... but Bernie sells to the highest bidder (Texas got money).

3 yrs ago I was working on a deal to build an F1 track here in SoCal .... pussy investors doomed it...... now I hope Austin succeeds, just to prove them wrong.

Wont believe it till I see it (think USF1)

Sepang was Tilke's last great track .... a real drivers course alongside Spa & Suzuka.

there isnt a circuit in LA unless they do Long Beach right? or build one... I think it should have been in CA, it would be awesome at laguna seca but i heard they would never bring it here, due to the design. i could be wrong tho. I saw A1 there a few years ago which was sic!

I think Houston is the perfect area!! For all of you saying Socal, That's too far for the people on the East coast. I also realize that NY would have been too far for you guys on the West coast. Solution, right in the middle!! Although I would have taken Road Atlanta.... LOL
