The first time i saw SO was on an M6 and fell immediately in love, so was very excited to see it offered as std on the M3/4. The first M4 i got to test drive had SO/SO combo which i was planning on getting (but on an M3). It was overcast that day and i didnt love it as much as i did on the M6.

I would do whatever you can to see it in person before deciding to get some piece of mind, rather than settling on a safe color. Before i got to test drive one, my dealer contacted another owner with the color and asked if I could go see it, he agreed but i found the SO/SO while driving by another dealer so didnt need to see it.

SO/SO combo is great though, the only time the lack of contrast matters is in pics from the front, in real life, looks great and is less noticeable with tinted windows.

I ended up getting an individual color (SMB/SO) cause i didnt love SO as much when not sunny.
