Boggle but it is a noisy game (the game not the players).
We typically have a jigsaw puzzle going somewhere in the house. That is great for anyone to put in a piece or two whenever they feel like it. Drop the needle can be fun, but I don’t know if there is a modern version. The game is for a record to be put on the turntable and the needle dropped randomly. Guess everything about the music (performer, album, date, composer, whatever). Hearts or Gin, also a really easy game to learn is cribbage. Dominoes, chess, checkers and backgammon are all good, too, depending on numbers and ages. Monopoly and Risk for longer sessions and to get people angry. |

Family drama does help. On my wife's side, she has an odd ball cousin, super competitive and a just plain weird. Takes shit personally. Then my bro in law taunts her. Sometimes it ends epically with board games, like crying and shit.
It's the only thing that saves me from the tedium. |

I love The Oatmeal comics, brilliant, but the game is dead dull.
Pull out a playstation people, play Fall Guys (free) after a few drinks, guaranteed laughs. |
