With android support coming back to BMW digital key, I'm wondering if BMW will update the older NFC tech like what we have in our Z4 to support newer phones. There seems to be a few different standards as outlined in this article:

BTW, my dealership said they were informed android support is coming back in their meetings.

If you have upgraded your android phone, you have probably come to find it may not be supported for digital key on the Z4. I know it doesn't work on my Samsung S21+. Has anyone insight if BMW is going to support newer phones on the NFC digital key platform, or are we out of luck?
